Kiss your boxed strawberry cakes a bye-bye! With our easy recipe, you can easily make a perfect strawberry chocolate cake for your loved ones from scratch.
When I started baking I always used the ready-made cake mixes, but I was always disappointed with the texture. Finally, with a lot of experimentions I came up with this recipe. Adding our strawberry dipped chocolates on top of the cake gives it a professional look and the chocolate dipped strawberries also gives a refreshing flavor to the dessert. Surprise your partner on Valentine's day or their birthday with this fancy and delectable homemade chocolate-dipped strawberry cake.
Baking time: 1hr 5 mins Servings: 12- 14
For the cake
4 sticks of butter, some extra for greasing 3⁄4 cup cocoa, some extra for dusting
4 cups of all-purpose flour
1⁄2 teaspoon of salt
4 cups of granulated sugar
2 cups of boiling water
1 cup of buttermilk
2 teaspoon of baking soda
2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4 whole beaten eggs
For the Filling

Sunflower theme chocolate covered strawberries Hazelnut chocolate spread
Heavy whipping cream
For baking the cake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and dust your cake pan with cocoa. For a layer cake, you will need 3 pans. Layers all the pans with cocoa powder
In a mixing bowl combine flour, granulated sugar, and salt.
Now take a saucepan and melt the butter. Add cocoa and stir together. Add the boiling water, allow the mixture to boil for 30 seconds and then turn off the heat and pour the flour mixture and stir it lightly till it cools down.
Combine the buttermilk, baking soda, vanilla extract, and the beaten eggs. Stir this mixture into a cake batter. Divide the batter among the prepared cake pans and bake for 20 minutes. Cool completely on racks.
For the filling:
Whip the cream and the powdered sugar. Slice the chocolate-dipped strawberries from our store and keep them aside.
Spread the top of each cake with hazelnut chocolate spread, some whipped cream, and the strawberry chocolate pieces. Garnish with our sunflower theme chocolate covered strawberries. Do not assemble more than an hour before serving.
Refrigerate it for half an hour before you serve this delicious cake to your guests.
